Like what barrel manufacturer is most used I. Competition?
What scope manufacturer is most used in competition?
What brand of action is the most used in competition?
What brand of stock is the most used in competitions?
 
For Center Fire Short Range, wait a couple of weeks
Look for the Equipment List after the NBRSA Nationals are finished

having done the survey several times..
bartlien and krieger are tops in bbl's
night force and march scopes
bat and borden are the top 2 actions
not sure on stocks

Included with your NBRSA membership is a magazine, where all the match results (short range score, group and long range) are published. This includes the equipment lists.

I know a benchrest guy who built guns Ron Hoehn always used Kelbly actions with shilen barrels but maybe that was just his preference. Or maybe that has changed in the last decade. He passed away some time ago.
 
There are still many great action and barrel makers out there. Hard to beat most of them. I have come around to liking buttoned barrels myself. Looking back, the three Hummers I have had were buttoned but I have used so few, it's hard to tell. We all develop beliefs in things and many of us don't use enough of anything to be able to compare properly so we go on what we believe or like.

I HAVE some kelbly actions. i know ONE known shooter that shoots shilien. my earlier answer stands
