Gene Bukys wins Chippewa Super Shoot Warm-up

My buddy Gene Bukys shot a .20XX two-gun at Chippewa this past weekend to win the Super Shoot Warm-up. Gene shot four different guns and each one of them shot very well. Look out!

We had some darn good shooters there and it was a great match. There were shooters from South Africa, France and Austria, as well as the Canadians and the usual local suspects. The match offers a chance to tune and get match-hardened without the hectic pre-Super Shoot hoopla at Kelbly's.

George and Vera Carter shot well, as did Don Rosetti, Larry Sharnhorst, Dewayne Woods and Dale Dilligham. Dale and Woodie are not going to shoot the Super Shoot, but both guys' equipment is looking darn good (look out at Holton in July).

George won the light varmint grand and Gene won the heavy grand. The top four in the two-gun were:

Gene Bukys - first

Some unknown shooter - second

Dale Dilligham - third

George Carter - fourth.

Gene and I finally decided on our annual Super Shoot bet. He looked at my "high-end" Timex and asked me if I wanted to shoot for our watches. I looked at his Rolex and said okay. I guess that is confidence when a guy wants to do that.

Congrats Gene

Gene has been shootin like a house on fire for the last year or so.

All of your Tomball Gun Club buddies are pullin for ya at the SS. ;)

Good luck

Way to go, Gene

Gene is definetally on his game.

He told us he would shoot a different Rifle at each Yardage at Chippewa, and decide which was the best to use at the Super Shoot. From what I have seen of all four Rifles, he will probably just flip a coin.

Go get em........jackie

Congratulations to Gene!!!

Joe, I wish I could travel this year to Super Shoot and enjoy some time with you guys...

Good shooting!

Luis.

You'll need a watch soon. I went that route with Gene at the Cactus for a small amount of money. He didn't laugh when he took my money.

Gene's win at the warmup should answer a few of your threads you started in regards to the Cactus....... ;);)
