help

well i got to walk the 50ft out to my bench today lug all my suiff outdoors to shoot.

here is what i found do you recall i ask for help simple things even.

nr. 1- the el. screw lock was loose on the scope therefore bullets flying
everywhere due to this looseness.

nr. 2-as per mr. stith checked the lay of my gene davis 52d in the rest. i
kept having to level it i found the the crosshairs were not vertical. well i
deduced with my little knowlge the scope reticles were not correct.
so i moved the scope to vertical and tightened the kilbley rings
down real tight.

i still have problems but it started to rain so in the house i am still thinking about what is wrong. but my shooting has improved quite a bit. now just to get as good as dan and shoot those perfect scores.

i wonder if he is coming to missouri this year? now i had no idea what was wrong but i see some solutions. sometimes its right in front of us and we dont know it!

tommorrow i pick up my calfree b/r and i should be ready for the championships just kidding boys. dont get your shorts in a knot.

Helping via long distance on the internet is not easy. Those of us that have been shooting a long time take for granted that things are aligned and tight. A newcomer needs help at basic levels that we tend to overlook. If standing next to the new shooter, we would evaluate those things almost automatically. Kind of like the kid that asked his parents where he came from. His Buddy was from Missouri.

ha thats funny well missouri not to bad as you said there is help around but what sort of help the helpfull kind or the snide remarks kind. im sure the smart alecks just dont realize who they run off in this sport.

my neighbor is like that he thinks every poor shoter is just a dumb ass but if a new shooter comes along and cleans his plow you should hear the whining then. its happened to him twice that i know of.

every man who gets just a little too full of himself can be knocked off. best to stay humble such as voelker. i want to meet him sometime.
