I put together an Annie 54 in a Stith 250 stock. Its bedded well, rides in a Fudd top and Protektor rabbit ears with baby powder and is topped with a Weaver T-36. I have tried everything to get this rifle to shoot good with free recoil, but it just wants to bump into my shoulder. Problem is getting it to hit my shoulder the same every time. I have decided to try a heavier grip on the gun and it seems to be helping, but I sure would like to get me out of the equation. Do some guns just not like free recoil? Why would it shoot better when being stopped by my shoulder?
