neither am I, but I still listen to new music even though I like the old stuff to.
And Im old enough to be Miley's dad, still I think she makes quite good music, at least in the past 2 years.. not very fond of the Hanna Montana era...
OK..... ain't nuttin' wrong with new music BUT........ here's a rich little girl blessed with good genes, a music-filled upbringing and all the opportunity life can offer and her response is pure trailer trash. She's got a gorgeous voice, the best training in the world and yet she's intent on "making herself" instead of happily riding her wave of fame. In trying to be Madonna she comes across as a spoiled little-girl slut. Madonna crawled, clawed and groped out of the gutter on guts, grit and commitment, she did what it took, Rock And Roll Baybieeee...... not exactly Miley's life story.
Out here in the hinterlands of The Americas we LIKED little Hannah Montana, we LIKE family values and long term commitment..... we're the result of years of civilized living, we understand the difference between ourselves and base creatures. Sexuality is to be enjoyed, not exploited because we're not animals. We're adults, or at least we aspire to be someday, the hicktown bourgeoisie she hails from just doesn't GET Madonna let alone Lady Gaga or Amy Winehouse, we are NOT eurotrash.....nor do we want to be,
nor is she....
she's not edgy, she's not angsty, she's just a little redneck girl crying for attention.
Watching her video is painful, Jamie Foxx had to apologize publicly a few yrs ago for saying she'd end up on a stripper pole, he's been vindicated.
Sorry to disagree dansig, I'm also old enough to be her dad, but I AM a dad and it hurts me to watch.
just my opinion
