The 2009 Eastern Region Meeting will begin at 10:00 AM on November 7, 2009 at Cabela's in Dundee, MI. The meeting will be held at the main conference room on the second floor next to the cafe. Coffee will be served at the meeting.

Also, lunch from the cafe will be available, but the details have not yet been finalized. There will either be a nominal charge for the lunch or proceeds from the various fund-raising activities will be used.

Further information will be forthcoming or you can contact either Joe Krupa or Jack Neary during the season.

For those of you who have not visited Cabela's in Dundee, MI, you have a treat in store. There are several other attractions, including an indoor water park and hotels, at that location. In fact, this Cabela's is the number one tourist attraction in the State of Michigan. This might be a good weekend for the family.

Hope to see you at the matches and also at the Regional Meeting.

That place is gonna be a zoo. That is the weekend before deer season. I agree Francis, a group rate for a LARGE sale of consumables.

Are there any 'hot topics' to be discussed at the Eastern Region.??

At Tomball this past week end, some very notable, and old time NBRSA regulars, said that it might be time for the NBRSA to sanction Varmint for Score.

The reason that many gave is that we, as an organization, are missing out on far too many shooters who enjoy this Format.

The cons are, clubs might forsake the Group Format in favor of the Score Format because of the simplicity of putting on matches, mainly in respect of the moving backer issue.

One solution would be that if a club wished to hold a Sanctioed Score Match, they would also have to hold a Sanctioned Group Match.

Sorry if this sounds like I am hyjacking your thread, but it took me by surprise how many veteran shooters were open to the idea of NBRSA Registered Varmint for Score.........jackie

Last time Eastern region talked about varmint for score , it was 3 to 1 against it. I do not think anything has changed except I hear there are a few pushing for varmint for score in the Eastern Region.
