Cutting Keyseats InLong Shafts

Here is one of those Bolivar Ferry Shafts ready to ship.

Notice the NCB liners that are shrunk on, and the epoxie resin fiberglass coating on the exposed sufaces.

Just for info, the cost of this shaft came to $58,800. Approx 2/3 of that is labor.

Slogans?

I saw the long range rifle on the bed of the company truck in another threads and didn't want to hijack that thread so a came here hope it is OK. I love the slogan "giving people the shaft since 1964".

For those that know what we do, our slogan fits perfect. Just about anyone in the Marine Industry on the Gulf Coast recognizes it.

I love a good slogan

I saw a plumbing truck here in town the other day that had a good one. Down below the vital info , phone number and all that stuff it says "number one in the number two business".

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting that. I love seeing big tool setups and unusual (at least to me) machining. Without this sort of sharing, home-shop duffers like me would never get to see any of this stuff.

One of septic tank trucks where we used to live used the same logo. It works and you don't forget it.

"Getting the shaft" is one of those good ones.

Jackie, did you have anything to do with that?
