Is anybody using there frozen scopes for score shooting? I shoot mostly IR50/50 and ARA. Was thinking about trying the Brackney setup. Can the point of impact be adjusted precisely enough for score shooting?
Thanks,
Fred

I'm using a Bucky mount and frozen Leopold with good results. I have no problem getting it dead on.

I have the Jewell external adjustable rings on my 30PPC, (my own frozen 36x Leupold), and it is quite easy to get onto dead zero.

The Brackney is a little courser than the Jewell, as the Jewell has 80 tpi knobs, and the micrometer knobs on the Brackney are 40 tpi.

The Buckys, (TSI), is very good, a little more aggravating than those with opposing knobs, but once set, is rock solid.........jackie

now had an opportunity to use both. They both work well but you can't be ham fisted in making adjustments...slow and easy keeping the rifle on point of aim and dialing to the bullet hole.

As Jackie states the Jewell Foster are a bit easier owing to the 80 TPI threads. Both work. --Greg

It could be easier

If the adjusting screws had small holes on the outside diamater so that they could adjusted by using a small Tommy Bar. Perhaps more people would use them if they were easier to adjust.

TCI adjustments

Go to Sears and get a allen wrench with a screw driver handle.
When adjustments are needed, loosen the set screw, make the
adjustment and "snug it back up". Makes adjustments a snap.

A way to have a reference as to how much to turn the screws. A set of graduated holes on the wheels might provide that. It would be simple enough for the person making the mounts to do and many of us would be willing to pay them for doing it.
