Rcvd this e-mail from Edna today thought I ould pass it on.

Hi,

Bob saw the doctor this morning & he is pleased with Bob's progress. He will see him again in a couple of weeks. He is showing no signs of being septic (infection appears to be gone). The recovery will take a long time. He can do whatever he wants to do. Over doing it is not possible because he doesn't have the strength to do too much. He does do some paper work & answers e-mail, but that is it for now. His strength will come back in time, but as the doctor said it will not be like turning on a light switch. It will be very gradual. He is eating, but everything still has very little if any taste. The doctor also said that his weight will return in time. It is common with his illness.

Like most of we " Middle Aged" fellows, he would just as soon some of the weight didn't return! ;) Sorry but I was just trying to provide a bit of levity here. I lost 60 LBS during my recovery from my successful Plane crash. I would have loved to have left all of it there in the Hospital!
 
Oh, sad to hear this. That explains why no answer to my email to Bob a few days ago. Anyone know if he has anyone answering the business phone? I have a 6PPC rifle I want to sell or trade, and I don't know where else to turn.

Bob is doing alot better. He had been at Mainville since last thursday. He should be in the shop. Try calling today.

Thanks, I will probably do that, or maybe just give him a few days to see the email first.

I have used Bob's services before for many items and it's bad news to hear he's going to be out of it for awhile. He always was helpful on the phone.

The classifieds are a different login. Just go to the classifieds and register seperately...you can use the same ID and password as here.

I have been trying to call Bob White and his phone isn't working. I'm dialing the number HERE which is (973) 663-5159.

Has anyone been able to get through on that number in the past few days?

I emailed him about a week ago and got no reply.

If Bob's out of business for awhile, any idea who else takes quality BR rifles in trade?

Hi Paper sniper: I spoke to Bob White on Wednesday of last week. He is bouncing back to good health. I would suggest that you call him between 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Bob is very much in business and can take care of all of your benchrest rifle needs. Buying , selling, gunsmithing and always the best of advice and guidance for everything Benchrest.

Thanks Mike. Do you remember what telephone number you used? I used the one in my OP, and I'm not sure that phone is working correctly.

I've used Bob several times before for scopes and reloading gear and supplies, and I want to approach him first on the sale/trade of my 6PPC rifle. I've been holding off posting a classified here and at the 6BR forum. I'm hoping to work a trade assuming he has something I like. "The List" at his web page is dated April, but hopefully it's up to date anyway!:cool:

Wow when i read this it was a shocker.
I'm glad he's ok. The shoots would really be lacking without bob there.

Yep, that's what I hear. He's done well by me in the past with scopes and such. This is the first time I've sold/bought a gun to/from him. It's his reputation that makes me try him before I run an ad for my rifle anywhere.
