Friend Kent:
I contacted MIke Sherrill and Mark Meadows yesterday...I wanted to see if either were going to the big shoot......They live 50 miles north of me and would have to go by my place on the way.....I was going to run one of them through the NICS FFL system and giive him ownership of the rifle.....I don't believe I could let someone take it out of state with me as owner .......anyway, I was going to ask them to take the rifle and 2 bricks of ammo and ask if anyone would like to run it through the match....they both know how I would want it cleaned etc and could take care of that for whoever shot it......
But they are going to St. Louis for an ARA Tourney.......
Is it the most accurate rifle in the world? That's a silly statement to make of course.......but it's about as good as I've ever seen.....
The gun is basically finished, but, I'm not putting it up for sale till I determine why it shoots like it does.....I have got to know.....so I can do it again...
There's a story behind this rifle and when, and if, I figure out why it does like it does, I'll tell it....
I suspect it has something to do with the stock and bedding, probably more so the stock.......but I ain't sure yet...
Good luck to all at the big shoot.....thanks again Kent..
Your friend, Bill Calfee
