Don't buy either the 64 or the Suhl. They are equally inferior to the Anschutz 54 action. I would buy a Suhl, but only if I found it in mint condition for $500. or less. The 64 used to be the poor man's Anschutz, the machining and quality of parts being second best.
I was thinking along the same lines before I bought my new gun. I decided to buy an older 54, and to have it bedded into a Benchrest stock. All told I'm into this gun for $1100 including the smithing fees. I hardly think that any Suhl or 64 that I have looked at could begin to shoot even close, nor have the re-sale value of the gun that I made.
