What twist barrel does your Rifle have?

Randy Robinett might chime in on this, but the wind drift of a 115 grn 30 caliber at 3050 fps is just about the same as a 6mm 68 grn at 3350.

This new thing to be wary of is what I call a "horizontal tune". The Rifle has zero Verticle, but is extremely wind sensitive, so much so that you can't read the conditions well enough to overcome it. You end up with straight accross "caterpillar" groups, or missed X's, especially at 200 yards.

If you don't have a tuner, you can play with the seating depth and see if you can kick a tad of Verticle into the tune.

30 x 44

I have had good results using H322 and 115gr bullets by either 10X or Berger.

I shot a pair of them for a few years

I used N-130 @ 37.5g with 112 bullets. I also shot 35g of N-130 with 118 G bullets and 35.5g of Reloader 7 with 125g bullets. This is from old notes. I also used H-4198 in the 30-44. I always felt the cambering liked the faster powders. For instance, I've heard of a lad who shot a case full of H-4198 in a 30-47 sooooooo.
