Guys,
If you ever get a chance, then run this test. I fired the Sierra 150MK in my 18.7" twist Hart barrel. Velocity was 2800 fps, and the altitude was 1100 ft at Burnet TX. I only fired one 3 shot group, and it measured .170". I only mention this because so many people are scared of getting the twist too slow. I would never ever ever consider shooting a bullet in a match that was this close to the edge. I would get a sideways bullet for sure. As a matter of fact, the same bullet did turn sideways out of my 20" twist barrel. I only tell you this so you can relax more about shooting 1" jackets from a 18" twist since that actually gives you plenty of wiggle room. The only way you're gonna know is to keep firing longer bullets till one tumbles, and then shorten them up until you're comfortable. There was a time that I didn't share as much about 30 caliber, but now us 30 caliber shooters need to stick together to better develope 30 caliber accuracy.
