2005 Vihtavuori N133 opinions

I am currently shooting the 2007 lot. I have a chance to buy a keg (44 lbs) of 2005. Does anyone have any opinions, good or bad, on the 2005 powder? I have never worried much about the lot of N133 I buy...just buy what's available at the time, but this is a fairly large quantity and I'd like some feedback before I commit.

Thanks.
Steve

Steve, Would it be possible to obtain a pound and do your own test? This would be over 200 shots and if you like it will the seller take an option for you to buy it all?

I would split it with you if you dont want all of it. LOL!! You lucky dog!! Lee

Steve, keep in mind that a year doesn't tell specifics about a Vit lot. For example, in 2007 there will be several "lots". According to what a gal at Vit told me 6-8 years ago, Vit is made by a continuous process instead of batches. The batch number is simply a sequential packaging date.

PM or email me, I'll tell you of a V133/07 experience/

I'm aware of that and that's why I have never really worried about it. I was just trying to find out if anyone had strong feelings about that year. I'm probably going to buy the keg, and since it's from an individual (that we both know) I wouldn't feel right about asking to test it first. I've never had a bad lot of N-133 and I'm pretty comfortable with going ahead and buying it unless I get feed back saying something like "That lot is a bunch of crap!". Even then it probably doesn't mean anything...for example Jackie Schmidt hates 2007 but I've found it to be very reliable.

I found your email address and sent a note.

It bounced. Now it says;

I have yet to have a 'bad' batch of N 133 - I just open it, tune it and use it.
Let's not make life too complicated. Most problems occur between the front of the bench and the target.

Buy the powder if its a good deal. Most tuning is done on a day to day bais. What Brendan said, he is spot on! Don't read too much into it.
