    Cheap diy Barrel Flush setup

If that method works for you that's great, but I found without the pilot there was still a small amount of chatter in the throat, now does it make a difference ?? I really don't know but as Jackie always says, double check the final product which I always do, and found the chatter in the throat...

dial in TOP OF THE LANDS OR BOTTOM OF THE BORE

I dial in on the top of the lands, ultimately that's what the pilot is going to run on and follow, but I do make sure the groove is concentric with the lands, you might be surprised how many aren't. Matt P

    New Lathe Ideas

I have a 1340GT and a 1440GT, both great machines and great value IMO, the reason I added the 1440 was the 2" spindle. Matt P

    284 Winchester - 180gr Berger Hybrids - First Loads

That freebore will work with Hybrids but be a little short for VLD's, you'll need around the 0.220 for VLD's. Matt P

Disaster.....Barrel Galls in New Bat Action

IMO yes, I always cut the threads a little looser than everything else. I can't give you reason why but I'm always more cautious with BAT actions. Matt P

    World Equipmemnt List

I can tell you what the FO winner was using, Barnard action with Bartlien barrel chambered in 7SAUM. One rifle was using a custom alloy stock and the other a laminated both using V block bedding systems. Assembled by me LRP Solutions. Matt P

    scope mounting question

Bill Try taking out the rear screws and reassess, I had a similar situation recently and it ended up being the rear bridge "fell away" on the right hand side. So when tightened it would pull the back of the rail over to the right. I ended up bedding under the rear and all good. Matt P

If cost were not a limiting factor.........

March 10-60 for light gun and March 5-50 or 10-60 HM for heavy. I have a 10-60 and a 5-50 and it's one of the few things in this game that I never think about changing, unlike stock, caliber etc etc ..... Matt P

    338 LM magazine

Liseo The Barnard actions are very hard and don't lend themselves to modifying, I would contact them directly and see if it will suit your needs. http://www.barnard.co.nz/ContactUs.htm http://www.barnard.co.nz/images/Tech%20drawings/Model%20PLM%20Receiver%20info.PDF Regards Matt P

    6.5X47L neck diameter

If you ask Kiff for a no turn reamer you'll get a 0.295" neck, but I've got loaded rounds here with 130 Bergers and they measure 0.290" plus or minus 0.0005". Hope that helps. Matt P

    MY 7mm Barrel SUCKS!!!

Jackie The 9 twist shouldn't be a problem, I've chambered 100's for customers and never had a problem, I'd open up the neck clearance and try some 180VLD's, in my experience the VLD"s are much easier to live with than the Hybrids. A common load in this part of the world is around 50 grns of 2209...
