    Annealing machines

"This might work, http://68forums.com/forums/showthrea...-list-included! Dick " Dick, Thanks for the link. It looks fairly simple from the video. I printed the parts list and may try to build one of these. Robert

    Annealing machines

I appreciate all of the feedback. Am I under the correct impression that if I am working on a wildcat round, and need to significantly increase the size of the neck of the cartridge that annealing the case will make it easier?

    Annealing machines

I have searched the site and seen different annealing machines. I watched the bench source video, looked at ken light's machine and also giraurd's. I am trying to form my first set of wild cat cartridges and I think annealing the brass will be beneficial. A 450 to 500 machine isn't in the...

    Triggers

So a Jewell trigger will work, but the bolt release won't? Am I understanding that correctly?

    Triggers

Will a Rem 700 trigger work on a Rem Model 7? Seems like a basic question but I saw a pic of a 7 trigger and it looked like the one I have for a 700.

    Thoughts on Lazzeroni Cartridges

A friend was talking about getting a different round (ie something faster, etc, etc) for hunting. He asked about the Lazzeroni cartridges, of which I have knowledge. Does anyone know much about them? Based on the speeds, it looks like it may be hard on the throat / barrel. Any thoughts?

    WSSM Brass

I am in search of .25 WSSM Brass for a project. All of my usual sources say 'Backorder' but more so that they can't get it from the manufacturer. Anyone know of a source or what the issue is with WSSM brass? Robert

    Muzzle Brake & Indexing

Is there an advantage to a radial or either one of the two pics I previously posted? Or are brakes one of those where you just have to find one that suits you?

    Muzzle Brake & Indexing

I don't own any rifles with muzzle brakes, but I am curious about their installation and what they do to accuracy. I have heard a gunsmith say that a properly made & installed (with correct timing/indexing) will make a good shooting rifle. I have also heard other people say that you can buy a...

Bought 1 one stock from there (Richards)....wasn't close to 99% inlet or even 96%. The McMillan was spot on and they're incredibly nice and helpful.

    Barrel Length

I know there are several factors that I may not be mentioning, but can a 1000 yd shot be made repetitively with a custom action, 26" barrel, and no barrel block?

    Barrel Length

I have seen pictures and read articles where guys are shooting barrels 30" barrels and longer at long range varmints. What are the issues with using a longer barrel? Does it put different stresses on the rifle? Is it a non-issue with long enough threads into the receiver? Other things I'm...

    6 BR question

I just purchased some Lapua 6mm BR Norma brass. Is there a difference between 6mm BR Norma and 6mm BR brass? Or is the Norma left off sometimes?

    Ruger No. 1

I know a Ruger No. 1 is not an action that would be shot in competition. I know a bolt gun can be made more accurate than a No.1, but it is an upcoming project. I am looking for a No. 1 to rebarrel and restock. I have looked for used ones, but the used one's that I have found are going for...

    Front Rest

For those of us on a tight budget...Will a Sinclair adjustable front rest work just as well if I am not shooting competition. I've seen Farley co-ax advertised for several hundred dollars and close to a thousand. Is it that much better than one from Sinclair?

    Wilson Die question

I don't have a carbide bushing, I am using stainless. I was referring to case lube that would be used on dies such as RCBS full length dies.
