New User First Post - Ray Morgan Rifle

Larry Moore had a true left hand Anschutz Model 1811 I was a friend of Larry Moore and shot quite a bit in the 80's with him when I lived in Knoxville. Larry had two left hand Morgans. One is pictured in the American Rifleman article he wrote on Barrel Contour (actually barrel fluting) and...

    Eley Tennex weight inconsistency

Traveler, that is very interesting and logic says that at least one of the fundemental components (bullets, powder, primer, cases) is coming from at least two sources or physically separate machine (processes). I do not know the process flow of the eley line, we need soemone who does to tell...

Coned breech on a Martini International?

Ted, if you rebarrel a Martini in the same way the factory set them up you must do several milling operations, unlike a typical 22lr bolt action (requiring 2). If memory serves the number is 9 including the relief for the firing pin. Four of the cuts are at 45 degress in close quarters...

Coned breech on a Martini International?

Has anyone machined a coned breech for a Martini International? I believe that a coned breech will be self aligning and avoid the complex maching involved in milling the angles for the factory method. I have seen the effect of a misaligned barrel causing the extractor to peen the chamber over...

    Falcon Action for Positon Shooting

For you prone and position shooters... I have discussed the possibility of creating a more position shooter friendly Falcon action with Johnathon of Baity’s Custom Gunworks. The action will have the trigger vertically aligned with the loading port to permit easy loading without compromising...

    CZ452 2oz. trigger!!

Yes if its Jewell quality I think people would buy them if they are truly benchrest quality. Walther had some made when they were making their kk100 target rifle on the CZ action. So someone in Europe has the design a I am sure Walther outsourced them. I don't think they are in production...

    suhl 150 question

Sorry its not A Suhl has many internal differences from a Anschutz 54. Externally, which is really your question, they are also also quite different, nothing is going to line up: different action length, different length from rear tang to bolt hanldle cut out, different location of the loading...

    New action design nearly done

great design for prone The vertical alignment of the trigger, bolt and loading port is ideal. It is amazing that the most popular actions in use today were not designed with any consideraton of human factors. Great job. I wish you luck getting this into production.

    Anschutz 54 action truing

I have some Anschutz 54 actions where the lug contacts are 80%+ but others where the lug at the bolt handle is contacting about 50% and the opposing (split) lug is only contacting on one of the halves. Is it worthwhile to true these up to achieve 90% contact? thanks
