I shot a .135" 10 shot 100 yd.group at Fairchance Pa. during the Pa. Unl. regionals in 1990,,,,has anyone or does anyone know of a smaller 10 shot group ever fired during official comp. (moving backers/etc.) with a SP/LV/HV rifle....I know the UNL/HB guns have,,,but what about a legal bag...

Hi Ron,,,,I use Rx-15 (and some blends of Rx-7--Rx-17) and WS-2 on the bullets to help with jacket wash and lengthen the shot string between cleanings.

up or down,,, Hi Ron,,, I shoot a 6mm BR most of the time (Krieger 8 twist) and use bullets from 65 to 108gr,,,all at or near max loads/vel. for each bullet,,,at 100 yds the 65-68gr bulets will print aprox 1" higher than the 105-108gr bullets ,,,,and the 80-90-95-100gr bulets move up and down...

neck length Hi "down under",,,,I usually use dial calipers and put the blade in the neck shoulder junction and the open them till the other is at the case mouth,,,,,its usually within a cupla thou....this gives me an idea of how much neck is available for bullet seating to avoid donut...

to OP,,,come up to fairchance this fall and you will see em strung clear off the paper at 200yds!!!!,,,,I got lots of targets like that,,,usually on a windy day,,,Roger

Hi Slo-hand,,,,that is a fine lookin Benchrest rifle....as others hav stated,,,the only thing "Hunter" about it is the 2-1/4" stock...the rest is pure/legal "B"enchrest rifle....if it is less than 10.5 lbs it can be used in LV and above classes just not sporter or hunter...(NBRSA rules) ...you...

Dear 7...lots of good advice,most are forgeting that the 222 class is out because of your boltface,,I would go 6mm BR with 8 twist (no turn .271 chamber)if buying a new bbl...or as suggested get a "worn out" 6mm ppc bbl and use the most of it as 6mm BR,,,you will be limited to bullets less than...
