    Constant bickering and "score keeping"

James, I think if everybody would just use you and me as an example for proper behavior things would be better.

    Calfee Muzzle devise

I've heard that there is a magazine that pictures Calfee or someone holding a Calfee rifle with a muzzle device that predates the Browning BOSS. Again, I haven't actually seen that. I guess if a person really wants to know, it would require some research.

    Calfee Muzzle devise

Harrel. Which he also refers to as a Calfee or at least Calfee type tuner. He may also use some RvA now. Still would be referred to as Calfee type.

    Constant bickering and "score keeping"

Carp, I read a lot of things but it's true I don't read the CF board unless I think they have information on something I need. Again, I don't understand the gist of what you're saying. I think they are more like minded than the RF side, but at the same time I see heated arguments. It may...

    Constant bickering and "score keeping"

Probably the most strict forum I have ever seen is www.wildcatnation.net As you may expect it is a University of Kentucky sports forum. They have several moderators and I mean several more than are here, and the people are generally like minded (can't say anything bad about the Wildcats now)...

    Getting 22 Ammo In California

Wouldn't it have to be made in California? Can't ship it in or does that mean you have to go through an FFL or something. The anti gunners finally figured out to go after the ammo. Sure took them a long time to figure it out.

    Getting 22 Ammo In California

Looks like California now has total gun control. Almost any ammo can be shot in some kind of pistol. Can you roll your own?

barrel vibrations and barrel mounted vs. reciever mounted scopes

PS I'm afraid I've not helped you much...... If one did mount a base/scope on the barrel/action, the length of the barrel, as far as vibrations go, would be from the point of the sight base to the crown..... The barrel in affect, would act shorter........the parallel node would be closer to...

barrel vibrations and barrel mounted vs. reciever mounted scopes

Calfee riend Greg: Most of the old scopes you mentioned were heavy......the light ones were mounted on the action..... Would barrel vibrations be affected by having one of those scopes mounted on the action and barrel.....probably........ But Greg, I would never mount a scope on the...

And the advertising that goes with them. Only so many ways to clean a gun and that will cause an argument. Want to stop the bickering? Shut down the site.

    Stiller action

He has it on his website with a price. Has anybody ordered one?

    Stiller action

He sat right beside me at the ARA nationals and used one. Looks like a 40X. Nice stainless 40X but a 40X. Matter of fact, I thought they were for available for sale after that. Could be wrong.

    Very important to me.....

Dave, I understand your desire for justice. Personally, I think people should get what they give. In other words, I think this guy should be shot in the face. And I hate the way these guys just lay around on death row for years, although I suppose that's a punishment in itself. But I have...

    mid barrel tuner

I would think "sorbothane" would isolate it from an outside vibration, but seems to me all you would do in this case is prevent the tuner from vibrating.

    mid barrel tuner

Is this it http://www.henrich3.com/smallbore_vib_cont.htm If so, I guess that's the original mid-barrel tuner. The claim about the rubber soaking up vibration makes no sense to me either unless there is a counter effect there, but there has to be a weight effect that would help the main...

how to beat a Calfee rifle with a cmp rifle

Why? No disrespect was meant and it was the same one published in the local paper in his area. I assume it was meant to be respectful at that point. So, if it's disrespectful it's from the original author and not me. I'm just pointing out that if this guy had all these wonderful things he...
