This thread has me fascinated, you are the third person that has mentioned how dirty this powder is. I listed the 2 lot #'s that I own and they are the cleanest burning powder that I have used in over 40 years of loading ammo. At what point did they change this powder ????? I still use it in...

Your post and Lee Martin's have me scratching my head, I have 2 different lot#'s of IMR 8208 XBR and it is hands down the cleanest burning powder I have ever used. Night and Day cleaner burning than N133

I have one and like it , the only down side is that it takes a bit longer switching back and forth from 100 yards to 200 yards. I think the system is solid and trustworthy, would not hesitate to buy another.

But then you have to deal with Lester........or his son.......or Amy his daughter. Good luck with that:o

Did a lot of testing years ago with a 220 Swift using these 2 powders and shot all loads through my Oehler chronograph. Without exception the S.D. and E.S. numbers were higher using magnum primers, I also found H380 to be the most temp sensitive powder I have ever used and adding a magnum primer...
