If you talk with some of the barrel manufacturers, you will find out that they have been using steel from lots of different sources over the last couple years...there's a reason for that!

There are a few areas that get relieved of material in order to allow the firing pin to travel as freely as possible. The spring is replaced with a higher quality, and non binding one. Also, a weight of heavy metal is added to the pin.

As we all know to well, barrels are the same way. One of the hardest things to do in this game is to give up on equipment we've spent our hard earned money on. But, unless you enjoy hanging around the middle of the pack, thats exactly what you must do.

Oh, and Shinny, as to the 2 or 3 lug debate, I have three 3 lugs, and will have more. Have one 2 lug that needed firing mechanism work from the get go, but is all good now. I'm now so used to using the 3 lugs, that a 2 lug feels foreign when I'm trying to run a group. But I feel that its still...
