A few more thoughts on world records

Hi Gene, The BRSC - (Benchrest Shooters Canada) has a process similar to what you describe. Any potential records are sent to 3 different scorers for evaluation. Our records are referred to as BRSC Canadian Records, not as world records. Rick

    Seperated necks

Still sounds pretty tight. Probably less than .001" total clearance once a pressue ring of .0003-.0005 is factored in. Unless you are experienced in fitted necks I would back it off to .012". What does a loaded round measure?

    Seperated necks

.013 on a .269 neck? If so you are at zero clearance, or less than zero if you factor in the pressure ring on the bullet.

Thanks for the kind words. There is a whole protocol governing file extensions. The .ca extension is assigned to Canada. As far as I know there are no extensions assigned to each state. Some guy named Wibur has the .com extension.....:D

    Throwing Shot Out To Right

When it comes to mirage, it will move the apparent position of the target and you can end up chasing it. Shoot when the target goes clear or when it "snaps" back into position. I agree with the other poster. Try morning or evening and try to get some decent conditions so you can rule out...

    Throwing Shot Out To Right

Well if you are sure it wasn't the wind, then it could be a number of things as mentioned above, including a wonky scope or mounts, loose barrel etc etc. Not sure if the shot will always go to the 4 o'clock position on a left to right wind. Too much else at work to predict that with certainty...

    PGW Coyote actions

Matt, I have the first Coyote built. Ross and collaborated on it. I wrote it up in PS magazine. It is a single shot. Flat bottom, no integral recoil lugs. It is a glue in, full tilt BR rifle. Ross scaled it up to become the Timberwolf. I understand later and current production is quite a bit...
