    Pellet staging

Nrawc Thanks for the reply’s The NRA Whittington Center has just given it’s blessing to starting an airgun field target program. Tiny steps…more like a “club shoot” to start with, but plan for a full blown program in about a year. Purchased a Air Venture Avenger to evaluate for possible rental...

    Pellet staging

I made benchrest bullets for 10 years or so but have switched to air rifles. I’ve seen some talk about winning shooters who were making their own pellets…that caught my interest. My Beeman 400 shoots sub .200 groups at 25 yards but I’m always looking for something better. Tell me about the...

    Beeman 400

I was a center fire benchrest competitor for years but recently had David Slade freshen my 42 year old Beeman 400. That rewarded me with a .164 5 shot group at 23 yards! Can’t seem to upload a pic but that 400 is awesome!

    Beeman 400 (Diana75) value?

I was given this rifle by a gal whose husband had left it in a safe for 20 some years. Pristine condition, not a mark on it and perfect bluing. I have it on David Slade's schedule for a rebuild. Always wanted one of these way back in the 80's but couldn't afford one. After a quality...

    Beeman 400/Diana 75 needs resealed...

Where can I get my Beeman 400 resealed? There was a guy in Kansas but I lost his business card. I'm located in northern New Mexico and would like to get this fine old rifle back to fine form! Thanks Bryan

    Wanna make barrels?

Equipment The question I have is this: IF someone wanted to get into barrel making, what would New equipment cost, and is it commercially available? Someone could make tons of money turning this into scrap if they were setup to transport it, but at these prices I'd hate to see that stuff...

Lapua 220 Russian Primer pocket test

Loose primer pockets...? I quit BR 6 or 7 years ago, but I always went to a match with 15 once fired cases and shot the entire match with them. My recollection is that by Sunday afternoon I was having problems seating primers...tight! H322 at just under 3350 fps. Cases seemed to be convex on...

    Reloaded ammunition for personal protection...

Wilbur I always enjoy your tongue in cheek comments! Universities are cranking out tortfeesers faster than fast food burgers. The mere ownership of a defensive type firearm is fodder for those guys, and carrying one concealed shows a certain level of intent. Obtaining the necessary...

    Reloaded ammunition for personal protection...

Does anyone have any close or personal knowledge of a civil case arising from the use of reloaded ammunition in a "good" self defense shooting? I would think inflaming the jury would be the main goal of the prosecution, but showing that factory ammo is generally hotter than reloaded ammo would...

    Internal ballistics......

We all know that the 6PPC with mid 60's bullet weight and N133 or very similar powder shot from a 21 or so inch barrel is the arguably most accurate thing God ever pulled a trigger on, and once on its way, the bullet is on its own. Seems obvious that the pressure curve must be the determining...

    H322 or LT32 for 6PPC

Tune Not trying to hijack the thread, but I think a whole slew of questions could be answered if shooters had a good working knowledge of density altitude. That bullet is just a piston moving a column of air out the barrel, and air density means EVERYTHING to the bullet's consistent exit from...

I just had this installed on my '67 Chevelle

Fi I agree that a carb, or multiples thereof need to be on the Chevelle and other cars of the era, but FI is a definite upgrade! Of note, NHRA Pro Stock cars are required to have fuel injection for 2016. Should be interesting! Bryan
