30-06 point of impact It is a sako (three lug )manlicher from 1968. the sako rings are original. they have windage but not height adjustment. have not lapped them yet or taken it to the gunsmith. my remingtons are easier just slap some burris zee rings with inserts and yer done.

factory class KDV- i prefer a sako or a remington/krieger. that said, the savage lrpv 9 twist 22-250 has won a bunch of matches even against customs .

for my .357 target revolver- if i go up from a 110 to 125 to 140 to 158 grain loads my point of impact at 25 yards goes up. for a 30-06 -going from a 150 to 165 to 180 grain bullet ( at 100 yards) which way would the point of impact go ?? thanks. roninflag

Ed - you advice is spot on . using 6ppc norma or even sako brass would have been much easier. i did not know. i had used lapua in several calibers with great results, 222 243 , 300wm , 30-06. this necking up is a pain. we will see once i fire them today. thanks . ron

ED- depends on how far your f class matches are. i have shot my 22-250 vssf at 500 yards with great results. at 600 and 1000 the wind here gives me $&&777^ even with my 6.5-284.

lapua brass ED- you are correct . the lapua brass i have is 220 rus. i will need to run it over a 6mm mandrel be fore loading.

i should receive the sako friday. i have lapua brass for it. it should be a noturn neck factory chamber. do you chamfer your 6ppc lapua brass? ( i do lightly with my .243 , 300wm, and 6.5-284 brass. )
