    Ir 50/50 (275)

Congratulations to Norm for winning the match. Also congratulations to James Garrett for shooting a perfect 275 (250-25x) target! An unsanctioned $ match using something different for scoring just for fun shouldn’t cause a stir. Hate to see any harsh words or hard feelings by anyone over this.

    Concentricity guage

The concentricity gauge is nice to see if you have any issues with your reloading steps. I’m pretty new to loading 30 BR and found little to no runout in sized case necks, but the seated bullets had .004 - .005 runout. Turned out that there was too much neck clearance with my in-line seating...

    Concentricity guage

I like the Accuracy One concentricity gauge best. The concentricity gauge made by 21st Century Reloading is also nice, but I think the Accuracy One is easier to set and adjust the indicator. I would definitely recommend one that spins the cases with a drive wheel rather than by hand. Here is...

    6 Dasher

Questions: -lapua or Norma Brass? Lapua brass unless you use a chamber reamer specifically made for the Norma brass. Take a look at the new Alpha Dasher brass if you don’t want to fireform. Fireforming for the Dasher takes some work if you want consistent cases. -Varget powder? Varget...

    Night Force Reticle changes?

A few years ago they wanted $350 to change the reticle on a 12x42 NSX. I think all of their reticles are etched into the glass which makes it cost more to change. Best to call them to get a current quote.

    MY 7mm Barrel SUCKS!!!

Check your neck clearance. The .284 Winchester seems to like 0.004 to 0.005 total neck clearance. H4831sc, H4350, and RL17 are the most popular powders. A lot of guys run 2800 to 2850 velocity. Hope you get it worked out.

    Rifle case

Check out Starlight Cases Starlight cases are nice and a bit lighter than the Pelican/Storm cases. Made in NC. http://www.starlightcases.com/AllCases.html I have the Starlight single rifle case, but I agree with Wilbur that the bulky and heavy case usually gets left at home in favor of the...

There has been a lot of discussion on the AMP annealer over on the accurate shooter site. http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/my-new-amp-annealer.3904123/ Probably out of stock because a lot of guys sold their Benchsource and purchased the AMP.

New 100 yard club record set at Riverside Gun Club

Nothing crazy about the scoring, it's 1 shot per bull, not 2 shots per bull. Inner ring is 10 points with dot an "x". The match is ten targets (50 bulls). Ten shots per relay is why the scores show as 100-10x. The club target scoring rings are the same dimensions as the IBS target...

New 100 yard club record set at Riverside Gun Club

The target is a club target that uses the 100 yard IBS score target rings and scoring format. Shooting indoors can be quite challenging and this is a great accomplishment by Doug. We also shoot monthly rimfire matches at Riverside. The other "Barn" in Norwood, NC is the one that is rimfire...

New 100 yard club record set at Riverside Gun Club

Congratulations Doug on your perfect score, excellent shooting. I'm a member of Riverside Gun Club, it's located in Richfield, NC. We shoot in an old chicken house (it's the old Tuckertown Barn that some old timers may be familiar with). The guys there are outstanding shooters and it's quite...

not enough adjustemnt with NF 12x42 ? something isnt right!

You should have enough elevation with a 20 moa base for 1000 yds. My buddy has the same gun and caliber with a 20 moa base and he is on the target at 1000 yds with 28 moa up from the 100 yd zero. He does run hot loads. You can use one of the online ballistic calculators to estimate your drop...

    Ammo availability

You can get on a list with Killough that gets you the test lots as soon as they come in. Not exactly sure how it works, but it's available to everyone. Getting good ammo is still difficult unless you have deep pockets and the time to test it before it gets sold out. It's just part of the...

    what electronic scale

+1 on the A&D FX120i from Cambridge. The Cambridge prices are in Canadian dollars so it's actually under $500 shipped to the U.S. I did a lot of research before purchasing mine and I believe this is the best value for a high accuracy lab type scale. There is a lot of good info on this scale...

    Joystick Rest

Seb, Thank you for posting. All is good now and I am enjoying the NEO rest. I have figured out the issue that I was having, and the verticle travel now covers the full 17 inches of a rimfire target at 50 yards. The issue was that the two tension screws in the front were loose (by at least a...

    Joystick Rest

I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong with the set up or if something needs to be adjusted, but it would only cover three full rows on a ARA rimfire target hung vertically. Horizontal travel was fine. It seemed to me that the joystick shaft would hit the edge of the cutout opening and...
