    Ideas wanted

Just be aware that the smoke can be very irritating. Try to work slow enough that you minimize smoke. And whatever shaping you do off the stock will minimize the chance of damaging the stock. Masking tape is your friend.

    30 BR case forming??

Push the shoulder back another .020. That will give you all the neck you want for turning.

    Super Shoot

Tim, I usually get there Saturday the week ahead. Seldom is there less than 6-8 who have been there a week more already. The range opens every day at 8:00 for practice. As Joe said, there should be plenty of room in the barn, especially for early arrivals. Just be aware that there are some...

Flag Rotation For The NBRSA Score Nationals?

Dick, are you are you thinking of coming to LA? Wow. For all Southpaws, get in touch with the folks in charge at Western Louisiana and make arrangements for a LH rotation. And Jackie, I was a director, I am not currently. I just keep myself a little more informed than most civilians.

Flag Rotation For The NBRSA Score Nationals?

Jackie, et all, Read this year's minutes. As of 1/1/16 there can only be 1 set of flags per lane. The rotation holder's flags are IT, no one else s. No more "don't give a damn who's rotation this is, I'm going to set my flags". Much nicer view w/ 1 set of flags. And with 20 benches, the...

    Recoil Lug

Have you tried Holland? And, BTW, what is the OD of your action? That is all the bigger the OD of the lug needs to be. Anything more is wasted, no matter what the diameter of your barrel is. David

    Nesika Action Scope Bases

Is the Nesika J flat across the top? If so, any bases for a flt top will work. As long as the action diameter is close.

    Daisy wheel source

Boyd, between when You posted this last night and now, the website must have shut down. The URL you posted takes me to a web developer site. And BTW, I and Smiley Hensley and Gary Long all have daisies for sale, and have had for the last few years. David

Tenon length on a older farley action

Gerry, I just measured 2 of my barrels. Tenon length was .710. w/ a caliper, not a mic. David

    Primer Preload

Bart, Thank you for clarifying that. I figured there was some kind of logic to the Mil Spec. Thanks David

    fitting a RamAge barrel

the contiguous state rule (law) applies ONLY to handguns. Long guns can be purchased anywhere they are legal to be sold. I have purchased a number of rifles in Ohio and PA, neither of which touches the borders of Iowa. As for barrel markings, I would definitely make the BATF agent show me...

    Primer Preload

I believe you just described the ultimate of "lowest common denominator". Mil-Spec is nothing more than the minimum the Military will accept in their attempt to make sure they lose less soldiers than their enemy.

    Bending a stock?

OK, you have proven that the butt needs to be re-shaped w/ tape. Take it to the next logical step and figure exactly how much you need to add to the back end for the rifle to track straight , again w/ tape. Then you can build up that side w/ epoxy and glass cloth and get it permanent. As...

    2016 group nationals?

David, not to be a party poop, but having attended too many Winter Meetings, I can only remind you of the title at the top of the page, "Tentative 2016 Schedule". Seen a lot of things change at the Winter Meeting. David

    Minor technical wind flag question

you can also use poles with no external screws. Nothing for the tape to grab on to. Also, if the flags are properly balanced the tails are less likely to lead the flag and get wrapped up in the daisy.
