The bolt face can be opened, but you may need a long action unless you don't mind single round loading and to eject a loaded round you'll have to pull the bolt all the way out.
I shot a lot of light magnums in 308 and saved the brass, after 10 years still works great, tight primer pockets and everything, haven't lost one case! Neck sizing only. Federal and Remington brass from the same era; long gone.
I actually checked all my cases and they are all perfect, also my rifle shoots perfectly too. Since the case forms in the chamber I don't see how it be crooked maybe if the chamber is crooked
The 6brx is the best 6br improved! I fireformed 100 Lapua cases recently by just seating the bullet far out, jammed in to the lands and lost only one, 30gr. RL-15 + 105 a-max very simple procedure!
Well, now days is all about 5R, 5C etc. barrels, custom actions, custom stocks. I'm surprised that "old" barrel shot that group! I love the fact that he did it with a plane Rem700 action.
The guy I talked to, has one and is driving 165s at 3200fps with 47gr. of powder, don't know what kind. He's had it for a month or so. I like the concept!
