Not easy to find a finer rifle.

Some people shoot 208 a-max out of a factory 1-12 twist 308 out to a mile with great success.

I use Marvel Mystery Oil, one of the best lubricants in my experience. First I neck size, then/ if needed / I run the cases thru a full length sizer with removed decapping pin, so I keep the inside free of oil.

Surprised to hear about the naval jelly. I've used it a number of times on rebar and other steel parts and tools, worked really well. Never had to use it on firearms.

No concern, curiosity perhaps. The analogy would be, holding the very end of the golf club vs full grip with two hands. I see some manufacturers going with longer tenons, longer than a rem700 for comparison. Not sure if it really matters. I appreciate your replies! Thank you all!

Awesome shot !!! OMG! 1200 yards is something else! The energy to make the bottle jump like that is... overwhelming! I'm sure a lot of shooters would claim have done it, or easy to do it, maybe like myself, but once you look thru and focus your $2-$3000 scope on the target, reality will hit you...

Accuracy is the same. 6br would be easier, you avoid the fire forming process. 105s at 2900 fps gives you plenty to fight the wind and gravity.

Is what we do best, see something beautiful, kill it, is a record. Shooting an animal at 50 yards with a 300 ultra stw magnum is a great accomplishment! Congratulations!

Tikka has a super smooth action, accurate barrel with 1-8" twist for 75-80gr. bullets where the 223 shines. The 23" barrel is just fine, my ar 24" shoots 80 a-max at 2950 no problem. Converting it to 308 or 6br: new barrel and open up the bolt face, simple tasks for gunsmiths

Get aTikka varmint 223 and reloading is a must.
