Mustafa has a new rail… watch out!

Well, of course they are right that you can never have enough rails… :D but I believe I heard Tom say that he has built enough of them! I think there is a lot of work in those things! Rick Graham

Mustafa has a new rail… watch out!

Hi Jeff. He might just do that! I think ol' Lou better bring one of his "good" barrels if he plans on defending that trophy! :) Tom's rail shot extremely well also. He came in second place by the way. Rick Graham

Mustafa has a new rail… watch out!

We decided to make our monthly shoot at Kenmore range a warm up for the Sniper King shoot which is coming up at Tacoma next month. For those that don’t know about the Sniper King, it is the oldest (1944) continuously awarded trophy in the U.S., won last year by Lou Murdica. It’s a pretty big...

    Case triming question.

Randy, Sinclair sells an attachment that fits on the Wilson trimmer (in place of the handle) that will allow you to use a drill motor on it. That speeds things up considerably. Rick Graham

    Visalia Match Schedule

I think most of those guys at Visalia are finishing up a shoot right now, but someone should be getting back to you about this before too long. Rick Graham

    Southwest Regionals

Well, I must have missed the full results of the SW Regionals. Did they ever get posted? All I heard was that Tom had won it. My congratulations to all the top placers. They certainly deserve it. Those guys (and gals) are tough down there. It’s no secret that Sue has been a tough competitor for...

Pictures of the first new Robertson Benchrest stock, fresh from the mould

Nice looking stock Jeff! They sure get a nice finish for right out of the mold. Hope that the tang of the Bat actions won't stick up out of the stock like they do with the Edge? Rick Graham

Results of Allen Bench Mem. Tacoma, Washington

I guess I had my moments, but I also had my troubles! So I guess I shouldn’t tell you whose flags I was using! :D (I have it on good authority though, that Jeff was using Graham flags) :D Rick Graham Graham Wind Flags www.BRflags.com

Results of Allen Bench Mem. Tacoma, Washington

The weather was a mix of switchy wind and rain and anything else it could it could think of to throw at us! I think that was why a lot of guys had a lot of ups and downs in this shoot. No body seemed to stay at the top for very long. In the end Jeff came out on top! Good to see as he has been...

    Manley Oakley passes

Manley was quite a guy. He was a big part of Benchrest in this area and a help to many. Many of us in the north west have things he made over the years. He was always coming up with a new gadget relating to Benchrest, and they were always very creative and meticulously fabricated. Some of them...

    accuracy at 300 yards w/14t 6mm br???

A good 6BR with a 14 twist should do just fine at 300 yds. We shoot 300 yds monthly at our club shoots, and most are using the 6ppc w/ 14 twist barrels shooting bullets in the 63 to 68 gr range. The PPC's are hard to beat at this distance, but we have had the occasional good 6BR do very well...

    What is a 23X40?

I guess it just goes to show there are several versions of the 23x40. My version was from Wally Siebert’s reamer. Mine would chamber and fireform a .223 rem case, and the neck was not longer. No case forming dies needed. Mine also had more capacity than yours because I was getting 3600 plus fps...

    What is a 23X40?

A 23X40 is an old BR cartridge, basically a .223 Rem. with a 40 degree shoulder. It differs from todays Ackley improved .223 in that it retains a lot of the body taper of the .223 Rem. The .223 AI has the body blown out more and has a little more capacity. A couple of years ago I had a bench gun...

Sad news about Mike Allens wife..

I am sorry to have to post that Mike Allen lost his dear wife, Tane, to pancreatic cancer this past week, January 20. Tane fought the disease valiantly for over 3 years. Mike is well known to the northwest Benchrest community as a fellow shooter and principle in the original Nesika Bay Precision...
