I was thinking wind too. If your shooting slow and the range has a prevailing left to right wind. Is it only at one range? Have you experienced it a diffrent venue?

Well yesterday afternoon I went and blew out the cases. To find the charge I used some of my old 6.5 cases to find the charge. It took a bit more than I expected, more than it took to make 30BR cases.Things seemed to come out ok. I wouldnt call em dead straight though, they have about .002...

On yahoo there is a ruger #1 collectors group. There is a larg amount of knowlage there. A search of the files and archives will tell you what you want to know I'm sure. There are also several aftermarket triggers. EA Brown sells some. Brownells.

Al on a related thread some time ago the subject came up about enlarging the flash hole on these cases. I can't find the thread But what where they opened up to, what was the benefit and do you think that benefit might carry over to 6.5x47 case left at 6.5 for 600yd bench? Larry

For 600yds I'm shootin a pre4000 series B&L 36x and I can see 6.5 bullet holes in the white in good conditions. The guy on the next bench couldn't see em with his 42x NF. I paid $500 for it.
