Jackie, I didn't read the whole thread but how about making the cut off 2 1/4" instead of 2 1/2". That would eliminate the Hunter class stocks etc.

Moving the handle lower on the actions was a bad move by BAT, IMO... In fact, I thought the bolt handle was too low on some of the earlier two lugs.. These rifles are to shoot off of bags, and sometimes shot in a hurry. That handle postion doesn't lend itself well to that style of shooting, at...

Take that $6,500 and carefully put it in a ziplock bag. Then, after purging the air from the bag, insert the bag into a mason jar and screw the lid on tightly.. Finally, during the dark of the moon, slip out into the back yard at midnight and bury the jar..

Zebra, you're going to have to machine a dead center, or take a truing cut on it, each and every time you set it up in your lathe.. It's not something you can take in and out of a chuck and have dead nuts, IMO..
