Dick my friend, what beverage were you sipping whilst viewing the weather report? :D I'm seeing snow flurries at 8:00am, winds of 20mph with gusts to 30 by 11:00 .

April 27th match at Mt. Pleasant, MI

When Dick started shooting they made their own charcoal, collected bat droppings and mixed it with sulfur to make their own black powder. :D

April 27th match at Mt. Pleasant, MI

Joe I talked to Steve earlier today, he said 100 yards. That's contingent on the water level on the range going down.

    NEW Nightforce 15-55 x 52 Comp Scope

I shot a couple of 600 yard prone matches this past weekend with one mounted on my rifle. The image is crystal clear, I could see the pasters (they were slightly off color from the target black) on the target with the magnificatioon set at 55X. Tracking was positive, without backlash. On the...

    Looked around

Rule 3.9.1 covers personal wind indicators. It states that they are not allowed forward of the firing line. Wouldn't flags fall into that category?

    Need some help with 308

I'd second Monte's suggestions.... Skip RL-15, it isn't as temprature insensitive as they would lead you to believe. I've had good success with Berger 175gr Long Range Match bullets. Guess it's a good thing I have 32lbs of Varget on hand, I'm not going to get caught short on it again....

    Mandatory Superfeet use

You see Charlie I am the one who shows up early to hang new backer boards and clean up the range before people arrive. Then I have the pleasure of acting as range officer, compile the stats and function as match director. In my spare time I watch so that everyone brings their bolts and ammo to...

    Mandatory Superfeet use

Another point of view... When you shoot in a match you pay to participate. Isn't part of those funds intended to be used to maintain the range, benches included?

    Threading close to a shoulder

Grind the side of the insert to reduce the width. You may also have to modify the tool holder. Diamond grinding wheels work well for this application.
