    Looking for a rest top

I was looking at several rest tops this past weekend at a local match. The one I liked was aluminum, the stock set on a delrin cross piece and was held in place by two smaller delrin pieces, one on each side of the stock. The person thought it was a Farley but was not sure. I looked at the...

    Electronic ear protection?

I use to use the electronics for large bore and still do for pistol. If I use anything for 22 it's just simple plugs.

    Tuner expert interpreter...Lynn equivalent

I have not been shooting benchrest very long at all. I would never take advise from someone that makes it appear they are trying to dazzle people with their perceived thoughts. I am not an attorney, but deal with them every day. Sometimes they get a little confusing, but I still know what...

Barrel Tuner - How to set it up?

I'm thinking about having a tuner put on my 40X. I know what a tuner does but have never used one. I read an article that is posted on this web site; http://www.22rf.com/articles/TunerWeights.html Is this how ya'll set up a tuner? Seems to me this method uses a lot of ammunition. After...

To dot or not to dot in a 36x scope.(rimfire)

I prefer the 1/8" dot. My eyes are old and the dot allows me to pick it up much fast. I'm so focused on the dot and target, the cross hairs seem to fade out.

    Looking for a wind chart

I'm looking for a wind chart similar to the one below. The one I'm looking for actually has small cross hairs that shows the shooter actual aiming point instead of bullet impact as this one shows. Anyone know where to find this? [/IMG]

    Weighing .22 rimfire ammunition

I had planned on shooting this morning and decided last night to do some sorting by weight. I sorted 4 boxes of SK Match and these weight of the rounds went from 49.9 up to 51.9. The vast majority weighed in at 51.5 or 51.6. These two boxes did shoot very well, but not quite as accurate as my...

    Ammunition Speed vs Weather

Yeah. That makes since. I was at a match not too long ago and the guy next to me was telling me how high the humidity was. He had been shooting ammo around the 1062 area and dropped down to a slower speed. This goes along with what you're saying. I never thought about it like that until I...

    Ammunition Speed vs Weather

I'm very new to rimfire benchrest and here's my latest question. Is there a rule of thumb for the ammunition speed to use during certain weather conditions? What ammunition speed works better in cold conditions? What ammunition speed works better in hot & humid conditions?

    Weighing .22 rimfire ammunition

I understand what you mean. However some of the matches I have been to you can tell by looking at the ammo boxes with the notes on them, a lot of thought and work went into that box of ammo.
