The NBRSA is looking for a person for the position of International Representative; this person will be responsible for all USA World Team functions.

Good people skills and the ability to follow guidelines as laid out by the Officers and Board of Directors of the NBRSA.

Anyone interested please contact no later than April 30.

I would like to make a suggestion, the team when traveling needs to go without spouses so we do not have the problems we had last time. This is the way many of the USA world shooting teams do it to avoid problems. Our shooting team is spending too much time trying to please the spouses. If the team members want to travel after the competition their spouses can fly in later or fly to the shoot on the own. Having run this Team in the past, this would definetly make it easier for the new team manager and get us back to one goal in mind.

What makes you think it is only women that would not be able to go? We have some pretty darn good women shooters that would have to leave their spouse at home also.

Your right Jim, in fact on the Canadian teams in Austria there was the husband and wife, George and Vera Carter that did very well. What I meant was that was the first impression when I read it and it was a little eye popping just thinking how I would explain that to the wife if it was myself in a position to go.

While my only interest in this is as a NBRSA member, I suggest that the Board of Directors make this a paid position. Perhaps be willing to hire a qualified Travel Agency to take care of these non-shooting related items, such as lodging, food, etc.

It almost sounds like your worried someone besides the U.S. might win it just once.

You might have something there. I thinks it’s only 2 of the last 5 individual World Champions have Americans. The team might be next to go.

We don’t have this problem at the Rimfire World Championships, Milan, Italy this july. We can’t afford to take a spouse.
