2nd and last day of Team competition.

Conditions were much worse with wind gusts around 45Km/h.

We managed to stay ahead, and, in fact, shooting in the wind shows all about BR rimfire shooting.

So, at the end we (Luís Pereira, Ricardo Serápio and myself) took the 1st place, becoming WBSF Team World champions, for the 2nd time in a row!

Congrats to Luciano Viviani (Italy) for the best score of the day - 250 21x

Tomorrow starts the 1st Individual competition day.

Those scores are incredible. You guys are killing it. These scores are being shot at meters. 250 21X back to back and a 250 23X card. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Sorry for the late update, but after the Gala Dinner, was the trip back home...

And this 5th WBSF Worlds Championships came to an end.

Didn't recover my previous 2 points lost, but as I never gave up, on the last card, the no mercy gusty winds, made me jump from 6th to 3rd place overall.

Congrats to the new World Champ Etienne Laboute from France.

Next WBSF Champs will be in 2026, Italy.

Congratulations to the new World Champ Etienne Laboute, France.

Congratulations to Team Portugal and congratulations to all the competitors. That was a very high-level competition.

The scores were outstanding.
The game has stepped up at the World level.

Perhaps there has been an advancement to rimfire accuracy around the world.

Hope to see some of you guys and gals over here for the Triple Crown next year.

Looks like a lot of good shooting. Some day I need to travel out of the US and try something like this. I am not sure, but I think Etienne was shooting a 2500X gun smithed by GAC in Italy?? Is there an equipment list that goes with this at any time? Anyway, congrats to all the shooters and maybe we will see some of you at the Triple Crown next year in Bristol, VA USA.

Jerry, you are right, Etienne shot with a 2500X by GAC.
There is no gear list, thought.

If you happen to came this side of the pond let us know so we could provide some comps scheduled around that time.

Next TC could happily see 3 of us.

What are the thoughts of the rimfire countries to adding 100m score matches to the WBC?
I think Australia bought this up at the delegates meeting?

I have mixed feelings... I'm used to think BR=50m. And old people doesn't adapt easily ;)

Now seriously...
If this will bring new blood and new shooters I'm for it. If it's just another "same" thing, no, I'm not for it.
And for a lot of European countries shooting at 100m represents a big issue, as very few, if any, ranges available.

Then, our gear, rifles and ammo, are definitely not adapted to longer distances. So, shooting at 100m brings a BIG luck factor.
Luck is always needed, by I tend to favour sports where the luck factor is minimal. When it reaches more than 30% of the game, or even 50%, it's not anymore for me.
