The Italians, French and ourselves (UK) will be holding competitions close to the end of May and I’ve been asked to run another World Postal on behalf of the IBPM.

This competition will be 3 x cards for 25m HV air rifle (16J limit) and for 50m rimfire, both outdoors.

As previous, all are invited to take part in these competitions and the closing date for the submission of scores is 17:00GMT on the 28th May. Cards may be shot at anytime during May while observing the IBPM rules http://www.benchpostal.com/page2.html

I’m having some problem updating the IBPM website at the moment http://www.benchpostal.com/index.html and will get this sorted out as soon as possible.

We will be using the .224” gauge for the scoring of all targets.

Paolo Maiuri paolo.maiuri@sfr.fr is the contact in France for the supply of targets for that country.

BRItalia have kindly offered to supply the medals for this competition, in fact some very nice laser etched crystal.

May Postal

Brian,
The Wild River Bunch of Grants Pass is always interested. Can we shoot on the Wednesday prior? You do a good job of making the match smooth.

Yes, any time from now until the 28th is fine Mike. Hopefully I'll have the website sorted out by then :D but all the spreadsheets etc. can still be downloaded from it.

Brian I have a question on power? HV = 20 fpe around 28J? LV=12 fpe around 16J? Is this a LV or HV match?

Hi Paul,

It’s a HV match, but with a 16J (12ft/lb) limit (just for this competition). So yourselves in the US can use your LV rifles. Most will be using LV rifles anyway.

Ourselves (the UK) and Italians shoot to the 12ft/lbs limit (although the law in Italy is 7.5J without a licence), the Swedes for example only have a 10J legal limit, so it’s a case of trying to accommodate everyone.

With this being our first outdoor match the closer we can keep the power between the various countries, the fairer it will be. Indoors a 40ft/lb rifle has little advantage, outside a different matter (for example).

We can see how this competition goes and maybe raise it to 20 ft/lb for the next one.

Just wanted to say thanks to Brian and Paul for helping me get setup!! We ended up having 6 shooters and will probably grow as more shoots happen, everyone had a great time. Jim has a post with pictures from the shoot. http://jimfromprecisionairguns.blogspot.com/2013/05/memorial-day-postal-shoot.html

I learned that forcing my Royale to shoot 16J was a bad idea on the first card 219, switched to a TM-1000 and shot 241, 247... Hopefully my AZ TM will arrive before the next shoot. Can't wait till the next one.

Shawn & Jim Great Pictures and Results!

Postal Warriors Great Team name.
You are doing great with all six shooters over 700 WOW!
Love the Postal Warrior Helmet!

Jim, Great looking outdoor range!

Paul

Thanks Paul, we had a really good time. Anyone is welcome to come and try to take the warrior helmet away from Jim at the next postal, but from the way he was wearing it around you might have a serious battle on your hands. Its amazing how the chance to sign and keep a plastic viking helmet until the next match steps up the level of competition to become the postal warrior!! :D
