World Benchrest match 2019 web page

That includes you Ian, and all your team mates. Just not sure if the Calgary Stampede will ever be the same!! We will have the lodging available soon so anyone wanting to get here early for the stampede can get a room booked. Hope everyone likes pancake breakfasts!!

There is more info and a google map on the web page now for all who are interested. You can use the google map to search distances to the different lodging locations that will be offered. Once all lodging offers are received there will be an official form sent to all delegates and also available on the web page.

Here comes an enraged moose. Quick, get the Canadian team!

Looked at the pictures. Beautiful range! Wait a minute. Is that snow on the ground? Also, what is the story on the nearby location quaintly named Deadman's Flats? Is that the local Canadian bar? Do you get many random visits by grizzly bears? How about wolverines? I know the Canadian team will be there and they do tend to scare those types of animals away but.... Tim

There will be lots of opportunity to see many species of wildlife at and on the drive to our range and if you go to the Calgary stampede prior to the match an all together different kind of wildlife that could make the Grizzly Bears seem pretty mild! But yes we do have bears etc in the area and as such range users are required to not leave garbage or food laying around.

Tony is traveling, so wanted to get this posted up here now. It will post on the Rosebud page when Tony gets back from holidays.

Latest update on WBC#15 - Calgary

Visiting Competitors and Delegates,

The Organizing Committee wants to send a reminder that competitor documents can be found here https://rosebudsilhouetteandbenchrestclub.wildapricot.org/ if you haven’t seen them already. We will add to the downloadable documents as the event approaches.

Note we specifically had booked the WBC in close proximity to the Calgary Stampede. You may wish to come a few days early to take in what is billed as the Greatest Outdoor Show on earth. It is a very large event comprising a Rodeo, Chuckwagon racing, evening grandstand live entertainment show, and an enormous Midway and Exhibition. Details are here and tickets are on sale for 2019. https://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede

In regard to the non-airline friendly components required to compete we have a dedicated Vendor Plenty O Patches handling the supply of powder, primers, sand, cleaning supplies, hand tools etc. They will also have a selection of BR specific barrels, triggers, rests etc if you are so inclined. An order form will be developed in the coming months. https://www.plentyopatches.com/

Official Invitation letters are available for the asking. Once you have selected your teams send me the names and we can send an official invitation.

Lastly a reminder to let me know the preliminary numbers of competitors your country will be sending, if you have not already.

Looking forward to seeing you and your team in July, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

With Kind Regards,
Rick Pollock
