Wind daisy

Just my thoughts. The big daisy wheels are dumb. Too heavy, too slow to respond, and turn too long after the condition changes. Go to Walmart or some such and buy you some pin wheels. Little 4-5 inch diameter plastic props on the end of a plastic stick like the kids play with. Or take a look at the Aussie flags. I think they are the ones that have the two blade fold up prop. You can with a bit of effort copy them and make your own. Super light, respond to the slighest breeze, stop as soon as the wind does and don't slow your flag response time down.

thanks

I was trying to help a friend find some. Sinclair had them at $4.00 a piece.

David,
Try Rural King. If they don't have them, I probably have some spares for 2.00ea. Let me know if I can help.

We agree on this one

I have bounced back an fourth from dasies to balls to dasies. I believe anyone can get use to either and with balls, one is never looking to buy any. The ones that come on them seem very resilient. Lighter spinners would be better.

I don't think flags make any difference in the the way I shoot. Either my head is out of my posterior or it isn't and that is what matters, IMHO. One can see it in full rotation events. There are so many danged many flags; well, I've rendered my opinion. :D

Doesn't look like they list them on their website. Must be a local store thing. Give the closest store to you a call. They are the yellow daisy's and used for mole control but most just think they are lawn ornaments.

I am pretty sure Art-line is out of business.....which would explain why Wally World and K-mart haven't had any for the last 2 years.

Maddog...

what do you search for at Rural King??? I tried daisy and lawn ornaments. Thanks.
david

word is that the molds were sold to a Chinese company and that Sinclair has or had about 100 from art line and when they are gone its anybody's guess as to if and when there will be replacements.

Go to and HVAC supply Co like Grainger and look for or ask for fan blades

If you can get up with Smiley Hensley---he probably has what you are looking for. I purchased a dozen from him while at the Super Shoot

They are mfg. by a company called Artline out of Chicago I believe. Googled it and could not find the company address but found a distributor called drillspot.com that sells them and moonspinners which are the same only in different color's.
Hope this helps jc

Wind Daisy

The blades on the Wick's flags are far superior to the "daisy wheel" style. They are lighter, have less central frontal area to block wind, and respond more quickly. I buy replacement bladess for my Wick's flags from Thorgren Industries, 1100 Evans Ave, Valparaiso, Indiana, 46383. Part number for the small ones is 5C3125C7. I don't have a part number for the large ones, but you can contact them. Nice folks. Talk to Andrew or Patti.
