Wind at Sacramento

Not exactly F class, but I shot my first tactical match at Sac today. We were at 1K when the gusts got so bad it broke off both 2x4s of one of the target frames. On the second relay the winds were tearing the targets off the frames even with 20-30 staples in them. They called the match not long into the second relay due to safety reasons so a target frame would'nt break again and possibly hurt somone in the pitts. What a day!

That's Sacramento for you. I don't feel so bad ducking that match since I was in Coalinga that weekend, not that I shot any better.

Hey I was thinking of getting into F Class shooting, and I am in the central valley and I work about 35 minutes Away from coalinga in Avenal is there anybody that i can get ahold of in the area about shooting there Justin Bowerman 07 FFL in Central California

had the pleasure of visiting Sac some years ago as a diversion from a Business trip to the US. Same thing, wind so strong it ripped the taget frames out.....spend the remainder of the day in Bob Gambo's workshop....thanks to all those Sac shooters who looked after me.....Regards Rob Eager Australia

Dirk Seeley or Jim O'Connell can get you the info for when they have mid-long range matches. F-class shooters tag along and shoot on their respective targets for the matches.
