it's not rocket science but it is science and not old wives tales. friction and drag are the 2 culprits in extreme weather and the result is a timing issue when the round gets to the tuner. those without a tuner what do they shoot in biathilon? of course it's a faster round and why because of drag and friction a faster round offsets the affects of cold and when the round gets to the muzzle. if you want your rifle to shoot well in the cold tune it properly, that is good ignition, a good bedding job. good ammo and tune your rifle to speeds of 1045 to 1085 and it will shoot great. tune your rifle to one speed and suffer thru trying to shoot in adverse weather. it's not rocket science just common sense.
