Hello Members:

We shot at our range on Flathead Lake, MT on a sunny beautiful 78 F day ...
Tremors from the wakes splashing on the concrete retaining wall early in the morning and swirling winds with 5 out of 8 flags pointing in different directions made the competition fun and challenging…
The wind was moderate shooting our springers and then picked up during LV and HV.
The tremors caught Jeff by surprise several times and made him flinch a few times...Or so he says!! :D
Those RAW BM-500's and TM-1000 guns are very hard to beat, outstanding consistency and a very large sweet spot...I see one of those in my future!
Our friends that couldn't make it don’t know what they missed…Very fun shoot and good eating afterwards, we will do it again soon!

Springer:

Jeff Crisler: 232-5X 234-0X 236-4X 702-9X
AZ: 238-4X 234-3X 240-6X 712-13X

Light Varmint:

Jeff Crisler:
237-8x 226-3X 222-4X 685-15X
AZ:
246-5X 241-4X 238-2X 725-11X

Heavy Varmint:

Jeff Crisler: 248-11X 248-11X 249-10X 745-32X
AZ:
245-7X 246-5X 247-6X 738-18X

Guns Used:

Jeff Crisler:
FWB 300S, RAW-BM-500 & RAW-BM-500
AZ: FWB 300S & Steyr LG-110 FT with custom BR Stock

We then shot an informal 50 Meter target and Jeff scored 234-4X and AZ shot a 229-2X...
With the improvements in technology and everyone now shooting high 240's and 250's, 50 Meters is a very different ball game and wee see it as the future of the sport.

Best regards,

AZ

What a beautiful spot!

I do think the wave action probably did get in the way, especially if the winds were coming in from across the lake.

WOW!

Thank you Dave...Welcome anytime!

Yes, we have 30 miles of N-S longitudinal lake (16 miles wide) for those winds to play tricks on us....Dealing with the wind hitting that concrete wall at water level and rolling upwards to land and target elevation 6 -8 ft. above the water level (Rolling Wind) is very challenging to figure it out...We had lots of that variable in HV and Jeff did an excellent job under those conditions...

The "Rolling Wind" effect is very different depending on where you are seating: Bench close to the water (By the concrete wall) vs. next bench inland, even though the benches are only 5 ft. apart...
Fun!, but maybe a little frustrating if looking to shoot those very high scores.

Beautiful Spot

Now, that's a nice place to shoot!! I shoot on the edge of a pond and so I think I experience some of what you all do there. The wind isn't hitting a wall, but it's coming on shore and can be pretty funky.

Nice shooting BTW.

My apologies, a finger mistake...A new thread with the last results will be posted later tonight.
