Where can I find a 722 bolt

Received an email this morning asking if I knew where to find a Remington 722 bolt - 300 Savage. Any help is appreciated!

Try Pacific Tool and Gauge. If they don,t produce them they might be able to make one.

Wilbur, except for the shape of the bolt handle, I think that dimensionally, a 722 bolt is identical to a short 700.

Perhaps just get a short 700 from Kiff.

In any case the 300 Savage bolt is shared with the entire line of .308-based cases, it's the ubiquitous ".473 boltface" of everything from 22-250 to .358 Winchester..... 250/3000, 7X57, .260 Remington etc etc.....the single most common bolt of all.

But the bad news is that in case the original asker-of-the-question is reading this, even finding an original bolt from a 300Sav of the same make/yr/vintage/model DOES NOT mean it automatically fits!!!
