What music are you listening to?

I was overseas on a military assignment when I received a letter from my teenage son.

'Hi Dad, I listened to some of your tapes and Deep Purple is pretty good'

This made my day.

I used to like listening to blackened metal too. Now musical tastes have changed and I only listen to American hardcore punk from the 80s

What kind of music are you listening to?

For me, it's metal. Currently blasting Haiduk - Diabolica (blackened death metal).

Howdy !

For me, the Mid -60s through early -70s rock and not bubble gum pop. Love a lot of Petula Clark hits.
She sang a variety of song typew, not just Rock.

1967 was a banner year for Rock & Roll in my opinion. 1968 & 1969 not far behind.
These years also seem to correspond w/ some of my favorite years for Muscle Cars.
I have a penchant for the -67 Barracuda fast back " Formula S " w/ the 273 " Commando V8 ".

My favorite HS year for music radio was 1971.

And not to mention, the " Mini Skirt Era " had started at the same time that puberty hit me !
The years mentioned pretty much cover when the " Mini " was in full swing !!

I did the 45s and LP thing, then converted my extensive music collection to " reel-to-reel ",
a few 8 tracks, then onto cassetes for use in the car. Lastly, got record player that included the capability to
make music discs.

These days, I listen to songs on YouTube music, often asking for " Billboard top 100 Greatest Hits year 19XX " and ade
Part 1, Part 2; Part 3.

Usually anything between the years 68 and 75. Currently revisiting Frank Marino.
and the vary early editions of Grand Funk, Uriah Heep and Budgie Not much for
Judas Priest but I do like the Rock a Rola album......I have an extensive collection
of cassete tapes and bootlegs. Been going thru them because my son likes the
early stuff also, and two vehicles have the old players in them. Found some early
Joe Walsh and some Spooky Tooth 2.....
