What happened to the Calfee apology thread Kathy posted in? joe:)
 
Joe, rumor has it they are putting a cast together for a reality drama queen tv series. of course it's to be kept secret until their patent rights can be protected!!!!!!!!!! wonder what the reality show will be called????? take a guess on who the queen drama bee is.......... lol don't touch that tuner we'll be right back
 
I bet you posted that and thought "what a funny man am I", and then you may even have slapped your knee. Then perhaps you suddenly saw a mirror and thought "no, I'm just old with no comparable accomplishments, my lot in life is to try to belittle someone who is actually the mover and shaker I would love to be". Sad. But probably not, because you don't think that deep.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the owner of the original thread closing it at his/her discretion. The thread was resurrected after all, but perhaps controversy is the intent of this post?

I think we actually lost a few years from all the made up stuff.
 
Not really from Jersey. I was born in Southern Indiana and lived much of my life just a short distance from your nemesis. And yes I have met him and would know him if I saw him although I can't say that he would know me. I used to shoot competitive CF benchrest and once approached Mr. Calfee at Wood Township about building me a rimfire rifle. That was several years ago and I was working in Louisville at the time. Then took a job with a major wireless provider (not sure I'm allowed to say the name) in Jersey and figured I was there for good. Technically, that's still my home but I've not been there in a while as I've been working mostly in Northern Indiana and the Chicago area and it will probably be permanent. So, my interest in Rimfire Benchrest has resurfaced as I doubt that I will get back to CF. Seem to be several ranges around here. So, if I can just get Mr. Calfee to build me a gun and take five minutes to tune it, I should be in business about spring of next year.
 
I think he says less than 30min and less than a box of ammo. Still waiting to hear, from anybody, the step by step procedure. thanks, Douglas
 
justathought, I read everything Bill Calfee wrote, including posts and that's when doubt started. next testing some of his theories. the final straw is this book, if the group that put that together did that for me I would fire the whole bunch. how could they compile a record of 10 years of made up stuff. these fellows that put this made up jibberish together should have protected Bill Calfee from himself. and that might be harsh but that's the way it is.

As I said, I don't have the book so can't comment on it. But if it is the PS writings and it's filled with gibberish, then Calfee either has a lot of disinformation in it or he's the luckiest man alive. He still has the record to back up what he says.
 
Guys,

I just want to say that if you were to ask at randum any number of shooters who post on this benchrest rimfire site to name three of the best rimfire gunsmiths in the world, Bill Calfee's name would be at the top.

Show some respect for the man. He has earned it in spades.

I did not buy the Calfee book when it was for sale here -still don't have it. I do have a question though - who can honestly say reading Bill's book moved them up in standing in the Rimfire world? thanks -joe :)

Lynn i took the pic end of last year so i got it from me.... it represents a current pic of my face, i ain't got nuthin to hide. joe
