What is going on in the NBRSA?

Lately there has been a thread about the NBRSA hiring a replacement. Replacement for who?

There has been a thread about moving the 2017 nationals from an apparently previously acceipted bidder to another range. Did that range offer a winning bid?

There have been posts about where to send membership renewals.

There was a post about the lady who does the mag not being paid???

I have been an NBRSA member for many years and I would like an explanation of what is going on before I write my 2017 dues check.

Anyone have an explanation??

..

Jerry, I have talked to my Region Director, and he says any precieved problems are being worked out.

There are just a few teething pains, with the current Business Manager/Magazine Publisher stepping down after many years of employment, and the NBRSA having to hire a new one.

As for the Nationals, it was understood that the original club that won the bid did so predicated on the Range making certain improvements. According to a report put forth by an inspector appointed by The NBRSA Board, the Range failed to make the agreed upon improvements, so the Nationals were awarded to the 2d bidder, Saint Louis.

I think everybody needs to keep in mind that We have an elected Board of Directors whose responsibility it is to get things in order. We also have a new President, along with a new Business Manager. Logic would dictate that it will take a little time to get things completely in order. It's a natural course in any business when there are some key personnel changes.

I have an elected Region Director who I trust will look after my interest in the NBRSA?

In the mean time, I'm getting ready for the NBRSA 200/300 Nationals at Walker County.

The recent letter which got a copy of 5 minutes ago explains part of this but does not explain why the nationals were moved??

The above mentioned letter that was removed immediately was from the employee of the previous 7 years. It states that she was not getting her agreed upon paycheck....why??

Is The Donald doing this or was it Obummer?

Pam Campbell is the new business manager. The transition to Pam is in progress as I write this. New address and contact info will be published as soon as it's available. In the mean time continue sending mail to the old address. Any mail sent to the old address after the transition is complete will be forwarded to the new address.

Audrey Brown decided to resign in December but agreed to stay until the end of March while we looked for a replacement. Since that time the board has been working to find a replacement, hence the sticky post at the top of this forum about NBRSA job openings.

Pam Campbell as the new Business Manager is an excellent choice.
