What chamber?

I'm going to have a Lija barrel put on my 40X very soon. The gunsmith asked me what ammo I would be using and I told him Eley Match. He then asked me if I wanted the bullet to jump, barely touch or in the lands. I know what he's talking about but did not know how to answer him. I'll be using this for benchrest.

Can someone with more insite to the chambers help me out please.

Tell him you want to engrave about 1/2 the first drive band and you should be OK.

.22 reamer

If I had my druthers for a chamber in a new Lilja barrel, I'd request the smith to get the Calfee 2 reamer from the above list. Set the depth for engraving the bullet by at least .060 in.

Bill was kind enough to share his ideas on reamers and the no. 2 does work great.
