Wayne France won the 300, and the Grand. He has climbed a long ladder, but perseverance has prevailed.

I also hear Dave Thomas won Varmint Hunter, and Gary Long won Hunter.

How many tough guys and gals shot?

It was indeed a tough match. We had lower than normal turnout for the event with 28 VFS guns and Ten 6 power guns. Conditions both days didn't seem overly nasty, but I for one had shots appear to go into the conditions on a few occasions. Some funny stuff out there...The range was in tip top condition and the match ran a smooth as one could ask for. Thanks to all who made it happen. Congrats to Wayne and all the winners, especially Curtis for his first big win.

Everything Hal said and I would like to add that Thurmont is one of my favorite venues to shoot at even though I never shoot particularly well there. I have always enjoyed just being there. Thurmont has a character of it's own and so do those who seem to frequent it. I keep hoping someday I will be able to understand what the flags are trying to say to me. You guys and gals ROCK!

have anything go into the conditions but, man, just a quarter turn of the flags in the left to right and/or a bit of a slow down in the flag at about 70 yeards was good for 3 inches of left hold! That bit me for a few 9's!! Congrats to all the top finishers.

Very well run match as is usual in Thurmont. Long trip. Dragging my you know what today!
