Walnut Source?

I need a source, west coast shipping is nearly 15.00 (bulk) and up to 25.00 for singles! I'd like to find an Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, PA, KY mill that supplies either correctly kiln dried, or air dried boards- 2.5" thick and whatever x whatever size.
thanks

p.s. I know a bunch of blank suppliers, looking for low end walnut- plain to semi-fancy

Walnut

There are all kinds of walnut at the NMLRA meet at Friendship IND. starts Sept 13th through Sept. 21st. If you go on a weekday some of the venders are not there! Best to ya!

Walnut meal can be bought at pet supermarkets. They use it for bedding some animal. It is cheap there.

I get my crushed walnut in 10lb bags at Petsmart, its sold as lizard litter. Less then half the price as what you'll see online from firearms supply stores, and its sold locally so I can alsways get it when I need it.

I put in some Nu-Finish car polish and mineral spirits to keep the dust level to a minimum. Works great.

Walnut

I have a number of figured Shendoah Valley Walnut gunstock
blanks as well as several 2.5" to 3" thick boards. Also a good supply of 1"(5/4) and 3/4"(4/4) clear boards, all +/- 8'-0" lengths.

All are natural heartwood and not today's steamed walnut which attempts to color or stain the sapwood. All were professionally kiln dried.

More supply than time.
