I know they may well have slightly different end users but was wondering how the two scope brands compare as they are pretty comparable in price?
Have read great things about both brands but has anybody owned or looked thru both?

The only US Optics model that has enough magnification for the primary market that March caters to is the SN-9 at 10x42 variable. The big thing is that it weighs 4.5 pounds. That is twice what even a Nightforce 12x42 weighs. Heck, you can't even give up that much weight with a HV.

I have never even seen one of these. I would like to, though. If they would send me one, I would mount it on my 30BR and see if it holds POA as well as the 50x March does.........jackie

Thanks Jackie, am glad I was sitting down - 4.5 pounds, what is it made from, cast?!?!?!? :)

I have both and they're both great scopes. Different applications but great scopes!
If you want to see the SN I posted pics. of the rifle and scope on this forum a while ago, go to "How to?" Nov. 2008

Thanks Vinny, looked at the pics. One hell of a scope, can see where the weight comes from!? How do you feel the glass compares to the March? I have read the March glass is comparable to the Leup VX7 glass, if thats true shame Leup dont do a little more magnification?
