Now I do bluing quite a lot and have the usual bluing tanks.
But how about having them upright?
Could be a 4" pipe with a bottom and a maybe a heating element wrapped around it?
I see smaller surface to evaporate as a plus.
Seems like it would be hard to control the heat or even know what the temp was in the bottom of the tank as apposed to the top. Then you have the problem of stirring in water to bring the temp down if needed.
From my experience which isn’t all that much it sounds like a problem. I think it would be fine for the soap and solvent and even the rinse water, but maybe not the salts.
